At Guest Kitchen, every table tells a different story, set in a new location, built on a unique concept, and brought to life by the host who welcomes us in. Each evening is an invitation to step into another world, through food, people, and the spirit of togetherness.

This time, we’re stepping back into the dazzling nights of 1920s Berlin with our dear friend and host Frithjof, a true Berliner, who has lived in the city for over 25 years. In his historic, beautifully preserved apartment, he sets a long table for just 10 guests, creating an atmosphere that is intimate, vintage, and full of character.

What makes this table even more special: Frithjof has been vegan since birth. He has never tasted meat in his life and has instead dedicated himself to discovering and mastering the depth of plant-based flavors. For this evening, he shares with us a menu that is at once authentic, creative, and deeply Berlin.

Expect family recipes like his grandmother’s traditional German potato salad, playful creations such as Silky Carrot Lachs, and indulgent creative touches like Beluga Caviar. And then there’s the beloved German wild garlic pesto once a seasonal staple made with the freshest vegetables available at the time the table was set, now reimagined as part of a menu that bridges memory and modernity. Each dish is paired with carefully chosen German wines, turning the night into a feast of flavors and stories.

The table will glow with candles and swing music, setting the mood for playful games, new friendships, and stories that carry the vibrant energy of the Babylon Berlin era. And as always, when the laughter runs late and the night feels too good to end, we must confess  the celebration often continues beyond the dinner table.
